Capitol Hill Block Party 2007

Matt and Kim made it into town on Thursday night, and immediately lost their Southwest flight vouchers. Twelve seconds after getting in the car with Sean and I we hear Kim quietly ask if "we can go back to the airport." We called. And the vouchers were gone. Darn.

On to the good part.

Even though Block Party provides someone to sell merch, I still only got a few good shots:

Matt and Kim always play an amazing show and Block Party was no different. Although we were in Seattle, so there wasn't as much crowd surfing as there should have been. But, hey, Seattle kids just don't really know how to get a party started. Sorry guys.

All in all, Block Party was an amazing time. I caught the Silversun Pickups from the VIP area and a few seconds of the Blood Brothers. Later in the night Girl Talk was doing his normal thang and throwing a crazy fucking dance-afterparty.

Even though Sean forgot where he parked and I was so drunk I was useless, we made it home and I spent Saturday feeling more hung over than I ever have.

PS. I would also like to add that my good friend Will was also at Block Party with us all, we just somehow manged to miss taking pictures of him, even though he is very attractive. For example, here is a picture of him saving a life in the woods, which is his job. He is also single.

Siren Fest!

Siren Fest was out of control! I manged to only get a few shots during the show, since most of the time I was hanging at the merch booth. But the show was amazing, as usual. The free beer and food wasn't so bad either. Although we feared it might rain, the weather was absolutely perfect. If you live in the NYC area and didn't make out, you should probably punch youself in the face.

Introduction

I'm not sure how useful this blog is going to be, or how often I'll actually post to it. I can't promise anything. But here's the thing: Tomorrow I officially start as Matt & Kim's Tour Manager. I'm flying from Seattle (where I live) to NYC to help them out at this years Siren Fest and then back to Seattle for the Capitol Hill Block Party. I hope in the future to use this space to post pictures and stories of the amazing adventures the three of us will be having together.

This is the plan at least. We'll see how well it pans out.
